Wydad's office avoids immediate resignation.

The board of directors of Wydad Athletic Club avoided submitting an immediate resignation, announcing in a statement issued late last night, Sunday, its intention to submit it during the upcoming ordinary electoral general assembly, "in respect of current responsibilities and commitments."

The statement, issued following an urgent meeting of the board, clarified that this step comes "as part of ensuring a smooth democratic transition that preserves the stability of the club and safeguards its higher interests."

The board also announced, in the published document regarding the "deferred resignation," the opening of membership applications for the upcoming sports season, with the period from June 5 to June 20 set for receiving candidacy files for the presidency of Wydad.
