"Basketball Al-Fateh" stumbles against Al-Ahly.
The Fath Sportive team, which had already secured its qualification for the final stages (playoffs) of the African Basketball League, stumbled against the Egyptian Al Ahly team with a score of 71 to 77, in the match that took place this Sunday evening at the multi-sports hall of the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat, as part of the fifth and final round of the "Desert Group."
Both teams, which had already secured their tickets to the final stages, delivered a strong and exciting match whose outcome was only decided after going into overtime, where the balance tipped in favor of the Egyptians.
Despite missing the services of the trio Abdelhakim Zouita, Elias Aqboob, and Abdoulaye Harouna due to injuries sustained during the second match of this league, Fath Sportive, led by coach Said Bouzidi, made a good showing.
Alongside Fath Rabat and Al Ahly, the Tunisian Club Africain and the Senegalese Dakar City Association also succeeded in securing their tickets to the "Final 8" scheduled to take place in Kigali.
With the conclusion of the "Desert Group" competitions, Fath Rabat finished this stage with a record of three wins and two losses.
