The arbitration decisions anger the "Maat" management.
The management board of Morocco Athletic Club Tetouan expressed its strong condemnation of the refereeing level witnessed in the recent match against Raja Beni Mellal, as part of the 23rd round of the professional league in its second division.
The club confirmed, in a statement, that the match saw "incomprehensible" decisions that directly affected the final result and deprived the team of its legitimate rights.
The "MAT" clarified that the refereeing team made significant errors, the most notable being the cancellation of a legitimate goal due to an incorrect offside call, and the denial of a clear penalty.
The Tetouan team considered that these decisions struck at the principles of sports justice and equal opportunities, especially since they were repeated in a manner that raises questions about the same refereeing team that officiated a previous match for the team in round 15.
The statement emphasized that the absence of Video Assistant Referee (VAR) technology and the lack of television broadcasting for second division matches increases the severity of these violations and opens the door to errors that affect the credibility of the competition.
The club pointed out that it had remained silent and responsible in previous periods, but the persistence of refereeing errors forced it to come forward to enlighten public opinion.
Morocco Tetouan concluded its statement by announcing that it would file an official complaint with the refereeing department, demanding a serious and urgent investigation into the circumstances of the match.
The club also affirmed its commitment to pursuing all available legal avenues to defend its interests and ensure respect for the integrity of the league, in light of the challenges facing the team in the competition race.
