Bencharifa was appointed coach of Wydad
The president of Wydad Sports Club, Hicham Ait Menna, agreed with the national framework, Mohamed Bencharifa, for the latter to assume the task of coaching Wydad Sports Club, succeeding Frenchman Patrice Carteron, starting from the training session scheduled for this evening at five.
“Hesport” learned from informed sources that the new technical staff includes Hamouda Bencharifa as first coach, Youssef Achami as assistant, and Tariq Al-Jarmouni as coach of the goalkeepers, in addition to Idriss Wago, who is physically prepared, in a composition that bets on accurate knowledge of the secrets of the “red” team.
Carteron had taken over as coach of Wydad, succeeding Mohamed Amin Benhashem following their exclusion from the African Confederation Cup, but he did not succeed in achieving the desired addition, after leading the team in five matches, losing three and drawing two without any victory.
Wydad is experiencing great tension in its surroundings, in light of the mounting anger of the fans over the way President Hicham Ait Menna is managing the club’s affairs, whether at the administrative or sporting level, which has prompted the various components of the “Red” team to unify their demands for the necessity of bringing about a change at the leadership level.
