Hakimi challenges injury with a strong message
Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi published a message full of determination on his Instagram account, in which he wrote: “I did it once, and I will do it again.” He accompanied his post with a photo of himself on the field, in his first reaction after confirming that he needed weeks of treatment following the injury he suffered the day before yesterday against Bayern Munich, in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final.
Hakimi’s “blog” came to confirm his intention to quickly return to the stadiums to catch up on important duties with his club and the Moroccan national team, after a previous injury against the same opponent and in the same competition during the league stage, in November of last year, after a violent intervention from Luis Diaz.
Paris Saint-Germain revealed in an official statement that Hakimi suffered an injury to his right thigh, confirming that he will undergo medical observation in the coming weeks, which means he will miss the return match in Germany.
The club explained that the careful examinations that the player underwent, via magnetic resonance imaging technology, showed that he was suffering from a muscle injury that would require a period of treatment and rehabilitation before returning to competitions.
Thus, Hakimi will miss the decisive confrontation in Germany, while the medical staff of the Parisian team continues to closely monitor his condition, in coordination with the medical staff of the Moroccan national team, in preparation for the upcoming events, most notably the 2026 World Cup.
