Hakimi's injury scatters Enrique's calculations
French press reports revealed that Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi raised concerns within Paris Saint-Germain, after he suffered muscle discomfort during the match between his team and Angers, for the 31st round of the French Football League, which was held today, Saturday.
L'Equipe newspaper reported that Hakimi felt pain at the muscle level after a quick start around the thirty-fifth minute, before he hinted at the bench a few minutes later, indicating that he was affected by the injury.
Despite this, the right-back of the national team continued to play until the end of the first half, before the technical staff decided to replace him at the start of the second round, where the young player, Warren Zaire Emery, took his place, as a precautionary step to avoid worsening the situation.
The same source confirmed that the injury does not appear to be worrying, adding that preliminary data suggest that Hakimi is ready to participate in the upcoming confrontation against Bayern Munich, in the first leg of the Champions League semi-finals, scheduled for next Tuesday.
Hakimi is considered one of the most prominent key players in the Parisian team’s lineup this season, as he presents distinguished levels, both defensively and offensively, which makes his presence in decisive matches extremely important, especially in light of the ambitions of the club led by Luis Enrique to win the continental title.
