“Fatah Volleyball” loses in Rwanda
Al-Fateh Sports Volleyball Club was defeated by the Rwandan Police Club by three games to one, in the match that brought them together, yesterday evening, Friday, in the second round of the group stage in the competitions of the forty-seventh edition of the African Club Volleyball Championship (men), which Rwanda will host from April 22nd until next May 3rd.
The Moroccan team entered the match strongly and decided the first half in its favor with a score of (25-19).
The second half was characterized by a great rivalry before the Rwandan team won it with a score of (28-26) and leveled the balance, then continued its superiority in the third and fourth halves and won them with scores of (25-20) and (25-21).
With this result, the Rwandan Police rose to the top of Group C, shared equally with the Ghanaian Army, with six points, while Al-Fateh Sports Club ranked third with three points.
This continental event includes the participation of 24 teams divided into four groups, with the top four teams qualifying for the knockout rounds.
It is noteworthy that the champion of this competition will represent the African continent in the upcoming World Club Championship.
