Chelsea fans turn against the coach
Chelsea football fans turned against coach Liam Rossior after the club's slim hopes of qualifying for the Champions League suffered another blow following a 3-0 loss to host Brighton, one of the competitors for the qualifying seats for the European Championships.
British news agency PA Media reported that Brighton increased the pressure on Rossinior after they were able to overtake Chelsea in the standings to occupy sixth place, thanks to goals from Ferdi Kadioglou, Jack Hinshelwood and substitute Danny Welbeck.
Rossignor was subjected to offensive chants from traveling fans in the second half at the Amex Stadium, before his side's worrying losing streak - and goal-scoring interruption - extended to five top-flight matches.
With the absence of the attacking trio of Cole Palmer, Estevao and Joao Pedro due to injury, Chelsea failed to score any attempts on goal during a lackluster display, and remained seven points behind Liverpool, who are in fifth place, after playing a match more.
In contrast to Chelsea, brilliant Brighton scored 19 points out of 24 available points in its quest for continental qualification thanks to a decisive victory.
The fans of the home team increased the suffering of the guests, as they chanted slogans in support of Rossinior, who ended his career as a player and began his coaching career with the Brighton team.
