Wearing the Moroccan shirt makes Al-Wahidi happy
Moroccan international Zakaria El Wahidi, a Belgian football player for Genk, confirmed his great ambition to continue to shine during the next stage, whether at the level of his club or with the national team, indicating at the same time that his football future remains open to all possibilities, including a new experience within one of the major European clubs.
Al-Wahidi explained, in statements reported by โHet Nieuwsbladโ newspaper, that he is experiencing a special period on a personal level, having managed to score 11 goals and provide 3 assists this season, despite the fluctuating performance of his team, adding that he seeks to end the season in the best possible way and ensure European participation with Genk.
Regarding his future, the Moroccan player did not hide his interest in a new professional experience, especially after his name was linked to a number of clubs, including PSV Eindhoven. He said in this context: โI do not close the door on any option. Everything is possible in football.โ
Al-Wahidi also touched on his dream of carrying the Moroccan national teamโs shirt in the next World Cup, stressing that representing the โAtlas Lionsโ remains among his most prominent goals in the next stage, especially in light of the strong competition within the national group led by the national voter Mohamed Wehbe.
The player concluded his speech by noting that his current focus is on continuous work and development, considering that diligence on the field is the only way to reach the highest levels and achieve personal and collective goals.
