Jamal: Morocco exports training competencies abroad... and scouts search for talent
Fathi Gamal, the National Technical Director, stressed that the structure of the National Technical Administration is witnessing a comprehensive development stage, during a press conference held today, Tuesday, inside the Mohammed VI Football Complex.
Jamal added that Morocco has begun exporting training competencies abroad, which reflects the quality of national frameworks, highlighting that a technical cell for national teams has been created, which will work in a consultative manner alongside the national team coaches, with the aim of improving overall performance and preparing players in various categories.
The National Technical Director also indicated that this cell will ensure the tracking of all players, to avoid overlooking some talents that may shine in a certain age group before retreating or disappearing in other categories, stressing that the work will be carried out in the presence of field specialists to ensure continuity of tracking and supervision.
The same spokesman highlighted that Morocco benefits from a scouting network active outside the country, which allows monitoring a large number of players, noting that the technical cell will also be responsible for programming the training camps and keeping up with the technical crews, in addition to monitoring talented players to ensure that no talent is lost. He added that the work within the technical administration will be carried out in a coordinated and unified manner among the various age groups, from under 15 years old to under 23 years old, in a way that ensures harmony in training and development.
Fathi Gamal also touched on the existence of a great understanding between the coaches, explaining that some of the frameworks work in an integrated manner, similar to acting on behalf of the Olympic team, at a time when the technical crews of the teams have become more stable, with the possibility of making changes according to the requirements of the competitions.
Jamal explained that the technical frameworks keep pace with the clubs’ work in the field of development, stressing the importance of the role played by administrators within the system, in addition to the need for the regional nerve to keep pace with this project, especially in light of the constraints associated with infrastructure and stadiums.
The National Technical Director concluded by emphasizing that football talent is available in various regions of the Kingdom, revealing that a recent excavation of the under-15 age group resulted in the discovery of 96 distinguished players, which reflects the richness of the human reservoir of national football.
