"Atlas lionesses" overtake Tanzania
The Moroccan women's national team defeated its Tanzanian counterpart by three unanswered goals, yesterday evening, Monday, in the friendly match hosted by Moulay Hassan Stadium in Rabat.
Sanaa Mesoudi opened the scoring in the fourth minute of the first half, before the same player returned to consolidate the score with a second goal in the 77th minute, while Yasmine Murabit completed the “Atlas Lionesses” hat-trick in the 80th minute.
The match was characterized by a good technical performance, which allowed the technical staff to test the players’ readiness and try out some tactical plans, against an African opponent who relies on physical strength.
This preparatory confrontation falls within the preparation program for the upcoming continental competitions that await national women’s football.
It is worth noting that the Moroccan women's national team will play a second friendly against the Ghana national team, next Friday, on the grounds of Moulay Hassan Stadium in Rabat, to continue preparations and enhance harmony between the group's lines.
