Olympique Safi team snatched a valuable draw against the Algerian club Ittihad Al-Asimah
Olympique Safi club returned with a valuable scoreless draw against the Algerian club USM Algiers, today, Saturday, on the grounds of the 5 July Stadium in the capital, Algiers, for the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup semi-finals.
Since the whistle of Egyptian referee Amin Omar, the Algerian team's attacking wave began to score an early goal, while the Misfioui team seemed somewhat conservative, relying on counterattacks.
Despite the attempts made by both teams, the result of the first half ended in a goalless draw.
In the second half, USM Al-Masfa put pressure on the Al-Masfawi defense, and scored by Zakaria Darawi in the 51st minute, but the Egyptian referee canceled the goal because the ball hit him before scoring.
In the 80th minute, Hamza Hamyani received a red card after his strong intervention on Algerian player Hussein Dhiri inside the penalty area.
The remaining minutes of the second half did not yield anything new, and the Misfioui team returned with a valuable draw from Algeria.
Yesterday, Friday, in the first leg of the first semi-final, Zamalek of Egypt achieved an important victory over its rival, Chabab Belouizdad of Algeria (1-0).
It is worth noting that the return match between Olympique Safi and USM Algiers of Algeria will take place on Sunday, April 19, at exactly eight o’clock in the evening, on the field of Al Massira Stadium in Safi.
