The value of Bin Sharqi is collapsing at Al-Ahly Club
The Egyptian Al-Ahly club continues to await the performance of its Moroccan player, Ashraf Ben Sharqi, as the team’s management decided to put him “under evaluation” until the end of the current season, before the final decision on his future with the “Red Castle”.
Egyptian media reports stated that Al-Ahly officials are inclined not to continue Ben Sharqi during the next season, even though his contract extends until the summer of 2027, but the final decision will remain dependent on what the player offers in the remaining matches.
Al-Ahly is only 6 matches away from bringing the curtain down on the current season as part of the effort to win the Egyptian League. This is after being eliminated from the African Champions League, the Egypt Cup, and the Egyptian Capital Cup.
According to the same sources, the brilliance of the Moroccan international player during these matches may rearrange the cards within Al-Ahly’s management, and push towards keeping him, if he is able to make the desired addition.
It is worth noting that Ashraf Bin Sharqi had joined the ranks of the Egyptian Al-Ahly Club in January 2025, through a “free transfer” deal, following the end of his contract with the Qatari Al-Rayyan Club.
