Jassim praises the atmosphere in the first team
Moroccan international Yassine Jassim expressed his great happiness with his first experience with the first national team, praising the warm reception he received from the “old” players, led by Achraf Hakimi, stressing that the atmosphere within the group contributed to facilitating his rapid integration.
Jassim said, in media statements following his team’s victory, Racing Strasbourg, over Nice by three goals to one in the French League: “It was like a dream come true. The players welcomed me wonderfully, like Achraf Hakimi... Frankly, they are players we dreamed of playing alongside, so the beginning was amazing.”
The same spokesman added: “I did not want to wake up from this dream, because we were playing, training, and living with people of a very high level.. Now, we must maintain our place within the group, and continue working.”
Speaking about the competitive atmosphere within Strasbourg, Jassim explained that the collective spirit remains the decisive factor, saying: “We are one group, we work together, and we do not think about taking the place of any player... We can rely on each other, and this is what creates our strength.”
Regarding his personal performance during the match against Nice, Jassim indicated that he is focusing on having fun on the field, adding: “I am trying to play in my usual way, having fun and feeling comfortable... We started the match well, and we always strive to enter the matches in the best way.”
It is worth noting that the confrontation against Nice witnessed the scoring of the third goal for the Strasbourg club by a colleague of Jasim in the club and the national team, Samir Al-Marabet, with his contribution with a decisive pass that resulted in the second goal.
