A muscle injury to Al-Nusairi worries Al-Ittihad
Moroccan international Youssef En-Nesyri, the Al-Ittihad team striker, is undergoing a series of careful medical examinations, on Sunday, inside one of the specialized centers in the city of Jeddah, in order to determine the nature of the injury he suffered during the last confrontation against Al-Hazm, in the 27th round of the Saudi Roshan League, according to what was revealed by the Saudi newspaper “Al-Riyadiya”.
According to the same data, Al-Nusairi felt muscle pain in the last minutes of the match, which forced the technical staff to replace him in the 90th minute, as a precautionary step to avoid worsening the injury.
It is expected that the results of the tests will determine the severity of the injury, in addition to the rehabilitation program that the player will undergo, in order to prepare him to return to training and matches as soon as possible.
En-Nesyri's case is of special importance within the Al-Ittihad team, given the offensive role played by Portuguese coach Sergio Conceicao, who relies on him as a primary option in the front line.
After moving from Fenerbahce in Turkey to Al-Ittihad in the last winter transfer period, Al-Nusairi played 10 matches in which he scored four goals and provided an assist.
