Betis is preparing to complete the transfer of Amrabat
Spanish club Real Betis is preparing to decide the future of Moroccan international Sofiane Amrabat, on loan from Turkish club Fenerbahce, as his loan ends at the end of next June.
According to what was reported by the Spanish newspaper “AS”, the management of the “Andalusian” club has placed the Amrabat file among its priorities before the start of the summer transfer market, as it intends to submit an official offer to buy his contract permanently, after the strong levels he presented and his transformation into one of the main pillars within the team.
The Betis management believes that the Moroccan player has become a de facto leader in the dressing room, thanks to his strong personality and clear influence on his teammates, which prompts the club to cling to his services with all force.
On the other hand, the approaching date of the 2026 World Cup finals, which will be held in the United States, Canada and Mexico, is a decisive factor in accelerating negotiations. The Betis management fears that the player’s market value will rise if he shines with the Moroccan national team during the tournament.
The same reports revealed that the Spanish club will not allow Amrabat to join the “Atlas Lions” camp in preparation for the World Cup unless his transfer deal is finalized, in a move aimed at securing his future within the team before new competitors enter the line.
Betis has already initiated contacts with the player and his agent, and a preliminary agreement was reached to continue negotiations with Fenerbahce, amid optimism that an official announcement of the deal could be made within the next few days in the event of a final agreement on the financial aspects.
