Hakimi awaits a “new Parisian contract”
In a gesture of appreciation inside the dressing room, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, president of Paris Saint-Germain Football Club, was keen to honor Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi with a special medal, to celebrate his reaching 200 matches in the team’s jersey, amid congratulations from his colleagues who praised his distinguished career, after the end of the match between the Parisian team and Toulouse, which ended in favor of the Moroccan player’s friends with a score of three to one, for the 28th round of “Ligue 1”.
Hakimi addressed his teammates in a cheerful spirit, saying: "Thank you all, it is a pleasure to play with you. I hope to play more matches, but only if Luis Campos offers me a new contract," in a clear reference to his desire to continue with the Parisian club.
In statements to the club's official website, following the victory over Toulouse, the Moroccan star confirmed that the team gave a strong performance despite the difficulty of the match after the break and the large number of movements, adding: "We knew that the match would not be easy, but we entered it with great focus from the beginning until the end. We were aware of its importance, especially before facing Lance, and this victory gives us impetus to put pressure on them."
Hakimi also expressed his happiness at reaching his 200th match, stressing his desire to continue this successful career in the Paris Saint-Germain jersey, with whom he has a contract that extends until 2029.
These statements come in light of increasing media reports linking Hakimi's name to a return to Real Madrid, especially since it offers the possibility of a reunion with his friend Kylian Mbappe.
