Strasbourg club clings to Almourabit
The French club Strasbourg is seeking to ensure the survival of its young Moroccan international talent, Samir El Mourabet, by opening the door to negotiations again to extend his contract, according to what was reported by “L’Equipe newspaper.”
This step comes only four months after the 20-year-old Moroccan player’s contract was renewed until 2030, and is a clear indication of the club’s desire to protect it from the ambitions of other clubs, especially after the distinguished levels he has achieved recently.
It is noteworthy that Al-Mourabet currently receives a monthly salary ranging between 50 and 60 thousand euros, an amount that does not place him on the list of the 10 highest-paid players within the team, which reinforces the club’s management’s intention to review its financial conditions in proportion to its development and increasing importance within the group.
It is expected that negotiations will continue during the coming period, with the prospect of reaching a new agreement that will keep the Moroccan international within the ranks of Strasbourg for additional years.
Al-Mourabet is a graduate of the Strasbourg Academy, where he progressed through all age groups before getting his chance with the first team. His first official participation was in January 2024 in the French Cup competitions, in the match in which his team won by a wide score.
