Al-Fateh Sports Club wins over Wydad with a clean goal in the postponed professional tournament
Al-Fateh Sports Club achieved an important victory over its guest, Wydad Sports Club, with a score of 1-0, this evening, Friday, on the floor of Moulay El Hassan Stadium in Rabat, in a postponed draw for the tenth round of the professional tournament.
The first half of the confrontation witnessed mutual attacking attempts from both sides, as each side sought to impose its style and control the course of play in the middle of the field, but the absence of the final touch in front of the goal prevented the team from reaching the net, so the first half of the match ended with a blank score.
During the second half, the pace of play increased significantly, as the competition for space intensified and the conflict between the two sides flared up.
While everyone was unaware, Lamine Diakite, the Al-Fateh Sportsman player, sent a ball inside the operations box that landed in the net of Wydad goalkeeper Mehdi Benabid, giving the lead to the host team in the 62nd minute.
Wydad Sports Club tried to remedy the situation during the remaining minutes of the match, but the defensive solidity of Al-Fateh Club prevented the visitors from adjusting the score, so the match ended with Al-Fateh Sports Club winning 1-0.
Thanks to this victory, Al-Fateh Sports Club raised its score to point 18, occupying eighth place, while Wydad Sports Club’s score froze at point 29, positioned third in the Moroccan League.
