Bensaghir apologizes to Moroccan public opinion
Moroccan international Elias Bensghir came out to offer an official apology and clarification to national public opinion, against the backdrop of the widespread controversy raised by the “issue of likes” on publications by Senegalese national team players following their recent celebrations in France.
Bensaghir said in a message he posted on his Instagram account that he realized that his behavior was inappropriate and was not well received by the fans, explaining that what happened was just a spontaneous reaction towards someone he knew without any prior intention, indicating that he quickly deleted the like as soon as he noticed the matter.
The national team player stressed his pride in representing his country, Morocco, stressing that his choice to defend the national jersey came from complete conviction since childhood.
Bensaghir concluded his message by offering a sincere apology to the Moroccan fans, expressing his desire to turn the page and focus on returning to the field to regain everyone’s confidence and provide the best levels.
