Iraq pulls off a surprise and reaches the World Cup

Iraq will participate in the FIFA World Cup after an absence of forty years, after defeating Bolivia 2-1, on Tuesday in Monterrey, Mexico, in the final of the second track of the continental playoff.

This is the second time in its history that Iraq participates in the World Cup, after the 1986 finals in Mexico, when it was eliminated from the group stage. On the other hand, Bolivia failed to return to the World Cup after an absence of 32 years, and to participate for the fourth time.
