Bennani and Baadi's rivalry continues in Marrakesh
Yesterday, Monday, Moroccan tennis players Karim Bennani and Taha Baadi qualified for the quarter-finals of the 40th edition of the Hassan II Grand Prix, which continues until April 5 at the courts of the Royal Tennis Club in Marrakesh.
Karim Bennani was able to defeat Frenchman Quentin Halles (ranked 90 in the world) by 4-6, 7-6, 2-6, while Taha Baadi defeated Australian Alexander Vukic (ranked 84 in the world), 2-6, 6-3, 1-6.
In the quarter-finals, Taha Baadi will face Frenchman Corentin Moutet, ranked third in the tournament and 33rd in the world, while Karim Bennani will face German Jannik Hanfmann (ranked 64th in the world), who won yesterday, Monday, over Dutchman Jesper de Jong (ranked 91st in the world) 6-7, 4-6.
Today, Tuesday, Moroccan Reda Bennani will face Italian Mattia Bellucci, seeded fourth, in order to reserve a ticket to the round of 16.
