Motsepe: The “Alkan” final is in the hands of “Al-Tas”
Patrice Motsepe, President of the Confederation of African Football, stated that the decision on the African Cup of Nations final between Morocco and Senegal is now in the hands of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAF).
Motsepe explained, during a press conference following the Executive Committee meeting, that the events of the final match remain the subject of close follow-up within the African Confederation, given the multiple discussions and questions it raised.
Motsepe stressed that CAF is aware of the sensitivity of the stage, preferring not to delve into the details of the file until the final ruling is issued by the competent judicial body.
He stressed that “CAF” will fully comply with the “Al-Tas” decision, considering that respecting the rulings issued by it is part of the governance principles adopted by the African football body.
