Al-Murabit: Carrying the “Lions” shirt is an honor
Samir Al-Marabet expressed his great happiness at playing his first minutes in the Moroccan national football team shirt. This came after his participation in the friendly match between the “Atlas Lions” and the Ecuadorian national team on Friday evening in the Spanish capital, Madrid, which ended in a 1-1 draw, as part of the preparations for the World Cup finals.
Al-Murabit published a blog post on his official Instagram account, in which he stressed that representing the national team is a great honor, expressing his pride in having his first experience with the “Lions”, and sending a message of thanks to the Moroccan fans for their continued support.
The player said in his post: “It is a great honor to play my first minutes in my country’s jersey. Thank you for your unconditional support and the warm reception since my start with the Atlas Lions.”
Al-Murabit’s participation falls within the direction of the national team’s technical staff to give the opportunity to new members in order to evaluate their readiness and determine their technical and physical qualifications, in anticipation of future benefits. Foremost among them are the World Cup Finals.
Next Tuesday, the Moroccan national football team will face the Paraguayan national team, on the grounds of the “Stade Bollaert-Delelis” stadium in the French city of Lens.
