“Ibn Tofail” wins first place in Lausanne
In an unprecedented historical achievement for the Moroccan university, Ibn Tofail University - Kenitra succeeded in seizing first place during the fifth edition of the International Olympic Case Study Competition (Concours International d’Études de Cas Olympiques), the activities of which were unveiled yesterday, Tuesday, March 24, 2026, in the Swiss city of Lausanne, the “Olympic Capital” of the world.
The aforementioned Moroccan university was represented in this prestigious international forum by male and female students pursuing their studies at the Institute of Sports Professions (IMS), who, thanks to their academic excellence and analytical abilities, were able to convince the international jury, in a competition organized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), in partnership with the Johannes Gutenberg University (Mainz - Germany) and the European University of Madrid (Spain).
According to data provided to Hespress, this victory is “the culmination of a path of seriousness and diligence, as the students of Ibn Tofail University demonstrated exceptional participation, which reflected the level of professional competence and creative spirit enjoyed by Moroccan youth.” This coronation also represents “a milestone in the organization’s international reach,” as the ambassadors of the “Institute of Sports Professions” succeeded in raising the national flag high, and representing the African continent in the best possible way in this global sports and academic forum.
In this context, the university celebrated this brilliance, noting that it was “a direct result of the continuous investment in the quality of training, and the unconditional support of the pedagogical and administrative staff,” explaining that “the dedication of the supervising professors formed the basic foundation of this success, which strengthens the ambition of Ibn Tofail University to continue its mission aimed at scientific and research excellence at the global level.”
With this achievement, Ibn Tofail University renewed its commitment to openness to international expertise and to actively contribute to the development of the sports sector in line with the strategic directions of the Kingdom of Morocco.
