Wydad signs coach Carteron
Wydad Sports Club announced its official contract with French coach Patrice Carteron, to supervise the technical crossbar for the first team during the next stage, succeeding national coach Mohamed Amin Benhashem.
In an official statement, the “Red” team welcomed its new coach, wishing him success in his mission, to lead the group towards achieving positive results that match the ambitions of the club’s components and fans.
This contract comes after Wydad announced yesterday that it was terminating its association with coach Mohamed Amin Benhashem, by mutual consent, following the elimination of the Red Team from the quarter-finals of the African Confederation Cup, at the hands of Olympique Safi.
It is worth noting that Carteron had previously worked in the Moroccan professional league when he supervised the technical team of Raja Athletic Club from January until November 2019, during which he led the “Eagles” in 30 matches, winning 14, drawing 10, and losing 6. He was also crowned with the 2018-2019 African Super Cup title.
