Al-Zabiri and Halhal: The “Lions” atmosphere is special
Redouane Halhal and Yasser Al-Zabiri, the two newcomers to the ranks of the Moroccan national team, expressed their great happiness at having their first experiences with the “Atlas Lions”, on the sidelines of the ongoing preparatory camp in preparation for the friendly matches of Ecuador and Paraguay next Friday and Tuesday, respectively.
Halhal confirmed, in his statements to the university channel, that he received the news of his summoning directly after one of the training sessions, when his coach asked him to check his phone, to find a congratulatory message from his parents, which brought him great joy, considering that wearing the national jersey was a “childhood dream come true,” after it had been haunting him for years.
The player himself stressed that this step is only the beginning, highlighting that the current stage requires him to redouble his efforts and continue working in order to consolidate his place within the group, which he described as a “cohesive family” in which harmony and a spirit of sacrifice prevail in order to defend the colors of Morocco.
For his part, Al-Zabiri did not hide his great pride in receiving his first invitation to the senior team, granting the moment that had been a dream of his since the beginning of his career in the Mohammed VI Football Academy.
Al-Zabiri said that hearing his name on the national team list was a proud moment for him and his family, thanking coach Mohamed Wehbe for the trust he placed in him, stressing his determination to live up to the aspirations of the technical staff and the Moroccan fans.
The same spokesman also referred to the positive atmosphere within the group, highlighting that the players received him well despite the value of the names he had previously followed on television, which he considered an additional motivation to provide the best in the future, and contribute to achieving distinguished participation during the upcoming matches.
