The “Cubes of Morocco” beat Tunisia
The Moroccan under-17 national team opened its participation in the North African Football Federation Championship with a clear victory over its Tunisian counterpart with two unanswered goals, in the match that was held on Tuesday afternoon in the Libyan city of Benghazi.
Mohamed Habib Zenabi scored the first goal in the twentieth minute, before Rami Loghmani increased the score with a second goal in stoppage time (90+4), securing the Moroccan national team the first three points in its journey in the tournament.
This competition falls within the qualifiers for the African Cup of Nations finals for the under-17 category, with the participation of five teams: Morocco, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt and Algeria. It is expected that the Moroccan national team will face its Algerian counterpart on March 27, then the Egyptian national team on the 30th of the same month, with the first round concluding with a match against Libya on April 5.
