The Moroccan league is witnessing programming confusion
The National Professional Football League announced the reprogramming of a number of professional tournament matches, coinciding with the international break period for national teams and the obligations it imposes on clubs and their international players.
The League explained, in an official statement, that the decision concerns the matches of the tenth and eleventh rounds, as it was decided to postpone them until after the end of the international break. This is a step aimed at ensuring equal opportunities between the various clubs, and enabling called-up players to defend the colors of the national teams in the best conditions.
This decision comes after some clubs resorted to activating their legal right to request the postponement of their matches, despite their prior agreement to hold them on the specified dates. This prompted the League to review programming in a way that takes into account the interests of all parties and maintains the principle of equal opportunities.
The National Professional Football League confirmed that it will later announce the detailed program for the postponed matches and their dates, through its official channels, stressing its keenness to manage the championship competitions in a balanced manner that keeps pace with international and national constraints.
Yesterday, Monday, the League revealed the program of postponed matches, for the tenth and eleventh rounds, before the concerned clubs demand their matches in order to activate the requirements of the sixth paragraph of Article 20 of the Competition Law of the Royal Moroccan Football League.
