Moroccan arbitration present in Benghazi, Libya
The organizing committee for the North African Football Federation under-17 qualifiers, which qualifies for the 2026 Africa Cup of Nations finals, announced the list of referees who will officiate the matches of this upcoming tournament, scheduled for the Libyan city of Benghazi.
The Moroccan presence registered its presence among the refereeing team, through the appointment of referee Hicham Temsmani as arena referee, along with Zakaria Bchettaoui and Abdel Samad Abberton as assistants, to represent the Moroccan whistle in these regional competitions.
This appointment comes in the context of the confidence enjoyed by national refereeing competencies at the continental level, especially with the successive participations in various competitions supervised by the Confederation of African Football and the North African Football Confederation.
This participation is a new opportunity for Moroccan referees to gain more experience in such events, which are characterized by strong competition between the regionโs teams, as well as being an important station to highlight their technical capabilities and capabilities.
It is noteworthy that the โUnder-17โ qualifiers will be held during the period between March 24 and April 5, with the participation of the teams of Morocco, Libya, Egypt, Tunisia and Algeria, where they will compete for three qualifying tickets to the continental finals.
