Wehbe leads the first training session for the “Lions”
This evening, Monday, the Moroccan national football team held its first training session at the Mohammed VI Football Complex, under the supervision of the new national voter Mohamed Wehbe, as part of the launch of the preparatory camp for the upcoming friendly matches.
This training session extended for about an hour and a half, as the technical staff focused mainly on restoring the physical fitness of the national elements, in addition to programming some light exercises with the ball, in an atmosphere characterized by seriousness and discipline, which reflects the desire of the players to give their best during this preparatory stage.
This gathering comes in the context of the “Atlas Lions” preparations for the upcoming matches, especially with the team entering a new phase under the leadership of Wehbe, who seeks to put his technical and tactical imprint on the national group, while maintaining balance within the human composition.
The Moroccan national team is expected to play two international friendly matches, as it will face the Ecuadorian national team on Friday, March 27, in the Spanish city of Madrid, on the grounds of the “Metropolitano” stadium, starting at 9:15 p.m.
The “Lions” will also meet the Paraguayan national team on Tuesday, March 31, in the French city of Lens, on the floor of the “Stade Bollaert-Delelis” stadium, starting at eight in the evening, in a second test that is no less important than the previous one.
These two confrontations fall within the national team’s preparatory program in anticipation of the 2026 World Cup finals, which will be held in the United States of America, Canada and Mexico, where the “Atlas Lions” aspire to appear honorably and continue the positive results they have achieved in recent years.
