Ittihad Tangier dues punish Zamalek
Egyptian club Zamalek faces a new decision from FIFA, suspending its registration for the thirteenth time, due to a financial dispute with Ittihad Tangier.
The details of the case are due to the failure of the Cairo club management to pay two installments of the transfer deal for Moroccan talent Abdelhamid Maali, with a total value of up to 350 thousand dollars, which prompted the Moroccan club to resort to the International Federation to obtain its dues.
The young player was signed by Zamalek last summer, with a long-term contract, but the trip ended quickly after only four months.
His Excellency was forced to unilaterally terminate his association, by resorting to FIFA legal procedures, as a result of the delay in receiving his outstanding financial dues from the Egyptian Club.
The 19-year-old winger returned to the ranks of his former team, Ittihad Tangier, after the expiration of the legal deadline granted to Zamalek.
Maali only participated in 8 matches in the Egyptian League, during which he scored 204 minutes of play. This crisis was added to the series of complex legal files burdening the “White Club.”
