Amrabat and Zalzouli shine with Betis
Moroccan internationals Sofiane Amrabat and Abdessamad Zalzouli led their Spanish team, Real Betis, to qualify for the quarter-finals of the European Football League, following their impressive victory over Panathanikos of Greece, with four unanswered goals, in the second leg of the 16th round.
The Andalusian team succeeded in overturning its deficit in the first leg with a goal to none, after it presented a strong display in the return leg, through which it won the ticket to the quarter-finals, well deserved.
Real Betis entered the confrontation strongly, as Aitor Roybal was able to open the scoring early in the eighth minute, giving his team a great morale boost to continue putting pressure on the Greek team’s defense.
Before the end of the first half, Sofiane Amrabat scored the second goal in the first minute of stoppage time, confirming his strong presence in the midfield and his direct contribution to his team’s superiority.
During the second half, Betis continued to control the course of the match, with Juan Hernandez adding the third goal in the 53rd minute, before Brazilian Anthony completed the quadruple in the 66th minute, after a distinguished decisive pass from Abdel Samad Al Zalzouli, who in turn continued his brilliance in the European competition.
With this great victory, Real Betis confirms its ambition to go far in the European League competitions this season, in light of the good levels presented by its players, led by the Moroccan duo Amrabat and El Zalzouli, who played a prominent role in this qualification.
