Wydad Club is moving away from bringing in Amouta
The features of the current stage within Wydad Athletic Club are heading towards installing Mohamed Amin Benhashem at the head of the technical crossbar, after he led the team’s preparations to face Olympique Safi, next Sunday, in the second leg of the African Confederation Cup quarter-finals.
Informed sources confirmed to “Hesport” that Benhashem is continuing at the current level with Wydad Athletic Club and will lead the team in its next match against Olympique Safi, despite the public pressure that erupted after the defeat in the “Clásico” against the Royal Army, which demanded the departure of the coach.
These sources indicated that the option of contracting with Hussein Amouta began to gradually move away from the “Red Club” table, in light of the stagnation of negotiations during the recent period, and the decline in the pace of communication between the two parties.
The club's management had tested Tariq Al-Saktiwi regarding the possibility of him assuming leadership of the team, but he preferred to apologize and focus on his current duties with the national teams.
Wydad continues its preparations for the decisive match against Olympique Safi, scheduled for next Sunday, for the second leg of the African Confederation Cup quarter-finals, noting that the first leg, which was hosted by Al-Masirah Stadium, last Sunday, ended in a 1-1 draw.
