Mexico is ready to host Iran's matches
Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum expressed on Tuesday her country's readiness to host Iran's World Cup matches next summer if asked to do so due to tension between the United States and the Islamic Republic.
When asked in a press conference about what was said about Iran negotiating with the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) to move its matches to Mexico, Sheinbaum stated that her country could express its approval for this.
FIFA had previously refrained from confirming the existence of a move of this kind under discussion when asked by Agence France-Presse.
