Hamdallah continues to chase Omar Al-Somah
Moroccan sniper Abdel Razzaq Hamdallah continues to write history in Saudi stadiums, after he scored a goal from a penalty kick for his Al-Shabab team, contributing to the victory over Al-Akhdood last Saturday, raising his scoring tally to 154 goals in the Saudi League.
This goal was not just a passing number; Rather, it strengthened the position of the Safi native as runner-up among the competition's all-time top scorers, reducing the gap with Syrian Omar Al-Souma, who leads with 159 goals, to only five goals.
Hamdallah’s terrifying numbers extend to the playing industry, as his total scoring contributions in the league reached 178 contributions during 172 matches. To become, just three steps away from equaling Al Somah’s record, as the most influential player in the history of the tournament.
Over the course of his long professional career, which witnessed him playing 465 matches, the Moroccan striker made 432 contributions, between scoring and assisting. Which makes him one of the fiercest strikers in the history of Arab and Asian football.
Despite being thirty-five years old, Hamdallah’s performance with Al-Shabab reflects great vitality, as he scored 29 goals in 41 matches with Al-Laith, adding them to his golden record, which he previously achieved with Al-Nasr and Al-Ittihad.
Having won the league title twice and won the top scorer award on three different occasions, Hamdallah seems determined to seize the throne of the all-time top scorer in the Saudi League before putting an end to his career studded with records and team and individual titles.
